More than 2,000 runners came together last September for the Run for Coconut Farmers 2026, turning every stride into a show of support for the people behind the Philippine coconut industry.
Held on September 13 in San Pablo, Laguna, and September 20 in Sta. Cruz, Davao del Sur, the two legs brought together employees, families, partners, organizations, running enthusiasts, and members of the community for a shared cause: supporting Filipino coconut farmers and coconut farming communities. Both events were marked by enthusiasm, camaraderie, and community spirit as participants took part in their own way, whether running, walking, or simply enjoying the experience, with Zumba sessions, snacks and freebies adding to the festivities.
Top finishers in every category were recognized, alongside the LGUs, partners, organizations, and sponsors whose generous support helped make the events possible. Farmer representatives were also present and expressed their gratitude for the overwhelming show of public support.
Beyond the fun activities, the event highlighted Franklin Baker’s long-standing advocacy of championing Filipino coconut farmers. Proceeds from the run will be used to develop farmer programs in both regions, in collaboration with the Sustainable Coconut Supply Chain Foundation, Inc. (SCSCFI). Through initiatives such as the Run for Coconut Farmers, Franklin Baker continues to bring stakeholders together, creating opportunities for collective action and driving meaningful impact.
